So, he's right you know. Court, legislation, whatever. What got passed last night needs to be changed by the same people who voted Yes on this proposition. Why? Because that's how change really happens and it what will get us beyond the push and pull of lawsuits. Because it will settle the issue.
We already worked to run a campaign -- knocking on doors and send emails to our friends and family. Let's keep doing that. Let's show our faces and our presence and our generosity.
though i do think what you're speaking of is quite different.
i'm not sure if there is a way to get a list of ppl who voted yes. i mean, our votes are supposed to be private. and i didn't hear about a #ivotedyes tag though it's possible. i'm sure we could surmise given a bit of thinking. or just drive around and geolocate the locations by where the signs are right now w/ pictures in flickr. it'd be good to have the evidence anyway.
alright ... so then what? we know where the ppl are ... do we bake cookies and leave them tied to the "no trespassing" signs? hang out on the sidewalk? i don't think they'll come to us, though i could be wrong.
i do know this: alters help and you must give to get. how do we may this movement irresistible? we've tried the finance approach (maybe not strongly enough ...) and all it got us was separate but equal (ab205). how many people are we talking anyway because i know we'll never reach 100%.
thanks for keeping this alive. i'm glad that i have hope after all this. though it's not easy, i accept the beauty and the thorns. we're being reborn as a nation ... it'll take time.
